The World Needs More Heroes (#3)

March 2015, muslim (fundamentalist sunni muslims) terrorists  use two homicide-suicide bombers to attack two churches in Youhanabad, Pakistan.  80 are wounded and 19 killed.  However, the carnage could have been much worse if one of the bombers had actually entered the church he targeted.

Two brothers, Akash and Sikander, had volunteered to provide security for their church which had a double door access system.  The backpack bomber (the backpack gave him away) was entering the main door gate when the brothers slammed the door against the bomber, knocking him down.  When he arose and tried to forcefully enter, Akash held him while Sikander closed the heavy church gate.  Sikander moved to help restrain the bomber but the killer detonated the bomb.

The metal door helped reduce the impact of the blast but it was still deadly.  Akash and Sikander obviously died in the blast and are heroes; and martyrs for dying for being Christian, their community targeted by intolerant muslims.  Akash and Sikander should never be forgotten.
